Would using two or more gyroscopes/accelerometers increase tracking accuracy?

No. Drift errors come mainly from integration of sensor noise, so using multiple sensors would only mean you integrate the average noise, which would be indistinguishable from integrating the single-sensor noise (assuming the noise is random, which is reasonable).

Is it possible to use screens from mobile phones to build a DIY HMD ?

They are generally too small (5" diagonal or less) but there is a trend towards bigger displays that makes them more interesting for this purpose.

Another problem is that they use a MIPI connection and at this time there doesn't seem to exist solutions to drive them, although there is some work in progress on the subject.

Is it possible to create a dual panel DIY HMD

With two panels a solution must be found to synchronize the displays, either in hardware or software.

Motion sickness

At first it was thought that latency was the main factor for motion sickness, but now that a lot of people have got their Rift (which is quite low latency) it seems other factors must be taken into account.

Is it possible to record movies for the Rift with a 3D camera ?

Console support

PlayStation 3

It does support HID devices so using the Oculus Rift head tracker should be possible. It's left to be seen if the system would allow to read the sensors at 1000Hz though.

PlayStation 4

Although it doesn't support HID devices in games, there is at least one which does support USB keyboard and mices (War Thunder), so it's possible that the Oculus Rift tracker could be used. It could be limited to games available on the PSN though, ie. indy games as opposed to AAA games.
